Description: A rather non-traditional rendition of the characters from Shakespeare's tragedy: Romeo and Juliet meet secretly in the lush midnight garden of her parents' home, the famous balcony in the background...for them, a few desperate stolen moments together are well worth the risk of being discovered... Background Information: This design was done in response to requests for the famous pair. The challenge was to find an unusual way of doing one of the most well-known scenes from Shakespeare's play. The idea was to try and capture the essence of those moments: the night, the setting, and of course the young lovers' fear of being found together...
Stitching Comments: I would rate this design moderately difficult because of the lengthy color code, and the over-one faces. There is only one specialty stitch: the lazy daisy, and there are a few beads in the border. Otherwise, this design shouldn't pose too big a challenge to the intermediate level stitcher. Specialty Stitches: lazy daisy Important Tips: Charting Technique, Organizing Floss, Miscellaneous Tips
