hand drawn, now computer generated Individual patterns are available via Patterns OnLine.com ONLY ©Teresa Wentzler, PO Box 176, Montoursville, PA 17754 Description: This leaflet contains three Victorian-style designs: a heart, a fan, and a nosegay, all designed in delicate pastel colors, accented with beads. Each is positioned within a lacy border with floral motifs. Background Information: This trio was designed in response to requests for home-dec designs meant to blend with "Victorian" decor. Since the subject is rather outside my normal range of design choices, it was a welcome designing "break" for me. Keeping the designs small, making them interesting to stitch, and trying to make them "related, yet different" were the main considerations.
Stitching Comments: I would rate these designs at medium difficulty because of an abundance of quarter stitches and color changes, and lots of backstitching. Adding to the challenge is the fact that the charts are hand drawn, and even though they are fairly large, the diffuculty of charting quarter stitches by hand is quite evident. Specialty Stitches: diamond eyelet, lazy-daisy Important Tips: Charting Technique, Specialty Stitches
