Description: A small vertical dragon designed in shades of gold and accented with the glitter of metallic threads. Gold threads couched in place mimic the sun's rays.

Background Information: This piece was designed as part of progressive-style class taught with Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams and Doug Kreinik of Kreinik Manufacturing at the CreativFestival in Toronto. Jennifer's Moon Dragon can be found at PatternsOnLine.com as well. You may want to stitch them both: one on each end of a fantasy-style chatelaine! We also designed small pieces for a scissors fob: I designed Celestial Sun, and Jennifer: Celestial Moon...also both available only at PatternsOnLine.com.

Stitching Comments: Sun Dragon is very easy to stitch and works up quickly. Working with the metallic thread is also quite easy as the design calls for #4 braid, not blending filament.

Specialty Stitches: couching.
